Christopher: Well, it’s over. Only I truly hope it’s not over.
Me: Don’t worry. NaNoWriMo may be over, but I’ve gotten almost 40K of your, or rather Damian’s story down in a story form. Even if it defies standard chronological order. Well, it doesn’t defy it exactly, but it…plays with it.
Christopher: Yes. (He smiles, cheeks coloring, and eyes alight) It certainly does.
Me: Wait, are you glowing?
Christopher: Maybe. Just a little. After all, some of what you figured out while writing My Tool, My Treasure made me very happy.
Me: Well, considering what you’ve already done and the feelings you’ve revealed, the conclusions I came to made sense.
Christopher: Thank you. I can’t say much more without giving away spoilers…but thank you.
Me: Looks like you, Danyel, and Tayel may end up with happy endings after all. I wasn’t sure if you would. (mutters) Now what can I do to complicate things? Or at least put a twist upon matters?
Christopher: What was that?
Me: Oh, nothing.
Christopher: Please. Don’t spoil the moment with your schemes.
Me: I won’t, I won’t…(in an undertone) Heh, heh, heh…
Christopher: What are you muttering?
Me: Nothing, nothing…
