Welcome to Rainbow Snippets! It’s good to be back! I’ve missed our little Saturday community, which shares and posts six sentences of GLBTQ+ fiction. My Blogging From A-Z Project: Character Snippets would have never happened, if my friends and fellow writers hadn’t inspired with their offerings of six sentences. The sliver of fiction can be your own. It can be someone else’s. It just needs to be GLBTQ+

Christopher and ‘Waiting for Rebirth’ are very happy to have the Cauldron back, after sharing it with so many unruly characters. (Zenobia was particularly unpleasant. She tried to plunder the Cauldron. Thanks to Paula Wyant and Quartz, all she got was a ceramic turtle, a garden gnome, and a black feather. She didn’t get to keep the turtle or the gnome, but that’s another story. See the other Cauldron at inspirationcauldron.blogspot.com or my Facebook Author Page for the details. :))
Christopher picks up right where he left off in the Navel with Juno on Wednesday. Which tin does she want?
I walked over to the teas. I was tempted to pick the box with flowers and grass painted upon it, but I found myself reached for another tin instead. It was a russet color with the black sillouette of a woman holding a lyre, seated before a faun.
“Clever boy!” Juno said. She clapped her pudgy hands together. “Be a dear and hand it to me.”
I want that tin!
(Sorry. I have a thing for “things to put things in”…)
Anyhow, great description and I’m curious about so many things in this…

Hey, “things to put things in” are great! Thank you very much! ‘Waiting for Rebirth’ is back to popping up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, now that the invaders are gone. 🙂

I used to have a tin like that, only the silhouette lady had a big hat and, I think, a crinoline. I can’t remember what was originally in it but I kept coloured icing tubes in it for years until I forgot about them and they all went mouldy so out they went with the tin.

I’ll admit I have a soft spot for such tins. 🙂

The tin sounds lovely, then again, so does the floral/grass painted box. 🙂

Thank you! The Navel does have some attractive things, along with the items only Gabrielle loves. 🙂

I agree about wanting that tin. I think my eye would’ve been drawn to that one too.

Thank you! I’m learning a lot about Juno while I write her, such as her love for such tins.

Like the rest, I’m drawn in by that tin.

I can see why his eye was drawn to the russet tin. I’d probably b the same.

You’ll need to ask Juno, since she’s walking off with it. 🙂
