Here’s my own for this week. Picking up right where I left off on #QueerBlogWed, here’s Damian/Christopher in ‘Waiting for Rebirth’. It’s a little longer than six sentences, forgive me.

We didn’t say anything when we walked back to the Navel in a companionable silence. The few words we’d exchanged were enough. We went back to a dusty little shop to ascend the stairs above.

Gabrielle was waiting with tea and cookies at a table in a surprisingly cozy little kitchen. It opened out into an area with chairs, cushions, and a few bookshelves. She talked endlessly about the Navel, customers, and how only people whom needed to find her shop entered. I tried to listen, but felt my eyes closing.
